Dr Deepak Chopra – Heralded as One of the Top 100 Heroes and Icons of the Century and the “Poet-Prophet of Alternative Medicine” at Anti-Ageing Conference London, 2006

Monday, February 28th, 2011

LONDON, (PRWEB) August 1, 2006

Dr. Deepak Chopra MD, founder of The Copra Center in California, is acknowledged as one of the world’s greatest leaders in the field of mind body medicine.

Dr Chopra, the author of over 43 books, has transformed the understanding of the meaning of health, through his creation of The Chopra Center for Well Being in 1995, which established a formal vehicle for the expansion of his healing approach using the integration of the best of western medicine with natural healing traditions.

Chopra’s work is changing the way the world views physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and social wellness. Formerly the Chief of Staff at Boston Regional Medical Center, Dr Chopra built a successful endocrinology practice in Boston in the 1980′s. Chopra realised in his medical practice that there was potential in western medicine for the establishment of a new life-giving paradigm, one which encompassed the fundamental principle that perfect health is more than just the absence of disease. He began to envisage a medical system based upon the premise that health is a lively state of balance and integration of body, mind and spirit. He is widely credited with melding modern theories of quantum physics with the timeless wisdom of ancient cultures. In 1992, he served on the National Institutes of Health Ad Hoc Panel on Alternative Medicine.

Dr Chopra will be speaking at Anti-Ageing Conference London 2006 (AACL) on Sunday, 17 September, which this year has attracted the largest gathering of the world’s pre-eminent medical speakers on anti-ageing health and regenerative medicine ever to be assembled in London.

The growing interest in anti-ageing medicine means that this event has also generated more interest this year from both exhibitors and sponsors around the world. They include the UK’s most advanced anti-ageing clinic, HB Health; Anti-Ageing Systems, suppliers of innovative anti-ageing products; Canada’s largest health products manufacturer, Jamieson; the largest anti-ageing member association, the World Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine; Receptura Pharmaproduktion GmbH; pharmaceutical supplier Wigmore Medical; online health products supplier, The Really Healthy Company; Bioform Medical Inc, manufacturers of Radiesse; Bio-Resonance and www.elixirnews.com, an independent news source on anti-ageing health.

According to Euromonitor International, the global market for products for age-related conditions is valued at more than .9 billion and is one of the fastest growing consumer sectors. This is why Anti-Ageing Conference London is of interest to both medical professionals and private individuals.

The 3rd AACL, which is being held at the Royal Society of Medicine in London from the 15-17 September 2006 is the only forum in the UK where both professionals and lay persons can learn about the latest advances in medicine and science.

Heather Bird-Tchenguiz, the founder of lead sponsor HB Health and chairperson of AACL says: “In most societies around the globe people are living longer so the importance of healthy ageing has never been greater so AACL is a unique forum for anyone interested in these important medical issues. It also offers the opportunity for businesses in this field to promote themselves and their products to a targeted global audience.”

At AACL delegates will hear from scientists and physicians on the latest medical advances, including what some may consider controversial, to the proven and new treatments for the diseases of ageing, as well as cosmetic and dental health, optimum nutrition, skin health, hormones, mind/body health and the latest developments in stem cell treatments.

4,000+ Physicians and Scientists Report on Latest Breakthroughs in Life Enhancement & Life Extension at “Largest Ever” World Congress on Anti-Aging Medicine

Friday, February 4th, 2011

(PRWEB) December 11, 2004

Ninety million American consumers use anti-aging products to maintain the youthful appearance and disposition vital to both professional success and personal happiness (Harris Interactive poll, 2004).

The Winter 2004 Session of the 12th Annual World Congress on Anti-Aging Medicine, which took place December 2-5, 2004 at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada USA, served as testament to the overwhelming public interest in ways to maintain the vitality of youth. Over 4,000 physicians, health practitioners, and industry leaders convened at the world’s premier meetingplace for the anti-aging medical specialty to learn of the most current clinical expertise and research information pertaining to life enhancement and life extension.

Anti-aging medicine is a medical specialty founded on the application of advanced scientific and medical technologies for the early detection, prevention, treatment, and reversal of age-related dysfunction, disorders, and diseases. It is a healthcare model promoting innovative science and research to prolong the healthy lifespan in humans. As such, anti-aging medicine is based on principles of sound and responsible medical care that are consistent with other preventive health specialties such as cardiology, endocrinology, internal medicine, and family practice. The goal of anti-aging medicine is to improve the quality of life, and in so doing, increase the quantity of the human lifespan. To achieve these goals, anti-aging medicine focuses on the application of high-tech diagnostic and treatment biomedical technologies for the very earliest detection and most aggressive care of disease. This approach has become the hallmark of worldwide health promotion efforts towards longevity.

During Opening Remarks, delivered by Dr. Robert Goldman, A4M Chairman, and Dr. Ronald Klatz, A4M President, an informal poll showed that for more than two-thirds of the event’s scientific delegates, this was their first-time at an anti-aging scientific program. Such new interest in anti-aging medicine has been a characteristic of the movement since its inception twelve years ago, and this explosive growth trend is predicted to continue as A4M has already trained over 30,000 physicians and health practitioners worldwide. In 2005, A4M’s educational activities will directly impact more than 250,000 health professionals and their combined base of 500 million patients, as venues for A4M sponsored/co-supported events taking place around the globe in 2005 include: United Kingdom, Monte Carlo, Indonesia, Malaysia, Korea, Thailand, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Brazil, and Mexico; in addition to Chicago, Illinois USA and Las Vegas, Nevada USA.

The Winter 2004 Session of the 12th Annual World Congress on Anti-Aging Medicine featured four days of lectures on the hottest topics in medicine today, presented by more than 100 world-renowned speakers. The breadth, depth, and caliber of lectures that are assembled into the A4M’s Annual World Congresses on Anti-Aging Medicine remains unparalleled.

Dr. Ronald Klatz, A4M President, also reported during Opening Remarks that A4M now holds a commanding Internet presence in the arena of anti-aging: the A4M website at www.worldhealth.net now ranks #1 for “antiaging” on both Yahoo and Google. A4M’s E-Biotech Newsletter subscriber lists stands at 250,000 and grows on a daily basis.

In addition, this Session’s sitting of the American Board of Anti-Aging Medicine (ABAAM), a physician certification program in the anti-aging medical specialty, was the largest writing since the Board’s inception in 1997. At present, over 1,200 physicians and health practitioners are in-process to receive Anti-Aging Board Certification, and 500 MDs and allied health professionals have already completed the process.

Almost 400 exhibitors participated at the co-located Las Vegas Anti-Aging Exposition, providing a vital opportunity for World Congress delegates to learn of the latest products and services in life enhancement and life extension. Decision-making physicians and health practitioners spoke one-on-one with vendors of cutting-edge preventive health products and services.

Major media outlets were represented at the Winter 2004 Session of the 12th Annual World Congress on Anti-Aging Medicine. For the first-time in the history of the Annual World Congress event, ABC, NBC, and CBS, as well as Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, all covered the conference, serving as a testament to the growing presence of anti-aging as an accepted segment of the preventive health sector. HBO was also present, conducting taping for a new documentary on the subject of the anti-aging clinical medical specialty. Remarks Dr. Klatz: “After twelve years, anti-aging medicine has become a firmly established theory of medical practice, mainstreamed because of its undeniable capacity to improve the human condition and reduce the burdens, both personally and societally, of disease and disability.”

With the largest attendance to-date of any anti-aging scientific conference, Dr. Klatz observes that: “The A4M was the first to create the anti-aging medical movement, and is the founder of the world’s fastest-growing medical specialty. A4M and our unparalleled Annual World Congresses on Anti-Aging Medicine hold a reputation for excellence in academic programming that brings thousands of decision-making physicians and health practitioners to learn of cutting-edge preventive health products and services to offer to their patients and clients.” Adds Dr. Goldman, A4M Chairman: “The global educational initiatives sponsored or supported by A4M in training this and future generations of anti-aging physicians serve to advance the availability of anti-aging medicine, the next generation of preventive medicine.”

Breakthrough in Anti-aging Medicine

Friday, January 28th, 2011

(PRWEB) July 31, 2004

You’re as old as you feel, it is often said, but a new system can help identify a person’s biological or actual age. The Inner-Age Biological Age Measurement System is a software package that captures the results from physical, blood and urine tests to calculate an individual’s biological age, as opposed to his or her chronological age. This means that a person can discover how young and healthy their body is, and which areas need anti-aging treatment. “Inner-Age is a major advancement, representing the arrival of the first comprehensive package for the diagnosis of aging,” said Dr. Ward Dean, M.D., the foremost expert in the field of biological aging measurement.

From more than 2000 published clinical studies, scientists have recorded 150 age-related parameters of hormonal and chemical changes within the body, called “markers of aging”, or “biomarkers”. By combining these biomarkers, the Inner-Age System uses patented technology to calculate the biological age of the patient.

Significant advances can therefore be made in anti-aging medicine, as aging diseases can be detected and treated at an early stage. Marios Kyriazis, M.D., the President of the British Longevity Society, said, “Inner-Age is one of the most important, innovative and significant advances made in recent years for the ongoing development of anti-aging medicine.”

Along with a written report, a patent-pending visualization highlighting the patient’s good and bad aging regions is produced by the system. These resources provide the doctor with the information needed to develop an anti-aging program for the patient. Garry Gordon, M.D., President of the International College of Advanced Longevity, said, “The realization of Inner-Age is a giant leap forward in the establishment of anti-aging medicine as a clinical service.”

The system is already used by health clinics in the UK, USA, Canada, Spain, Turkey and Germany.

Derek Maunders received life-altering benefits from the Inner-Age system, “I took the Inner-Age diagnostic test and my results revealed irregular levels of PSA, which is an indicator of prostate cancer. Upon further tests I discovered that I had developed the cancer, even though I had always maintained a healthy and active life and had suffered from no symptoms. Fortunately, due to the Inner-Age test, I was able to detect and treat the disease early.”
